Credentials

Dr Mand has been practicing psychotherapy in the South Bay since 1980. She attended California State University where she received her B.A. and M.A. in Psychology. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from California Graduate Institute in 1983. She is also a Certified Problem Gambling Therapist, receiving her credentials as of May 2011, from UCLA.

Her teaching experiences include cross-cultural presentations for the Palos Verdes School District, parenting courses for Long Beach City College and for the Gardena Family Child Care Program, Stepfamily Relations courses for the South Bay Adult School and various related short-term courses and presentations for the community.

Dr Mand regularly trains child-care providers on all aspects of child development and child care issues.

A dynamic and experienced speaker, Dr. Mand served as president of her Toastmaster’s group 2004/2005. She may be contacted for speaking engagements for businesses, women’s/men’s groups, clubs, teacher’s associations, physician’s groups, temples, churches, and other groups and organizations. Presentations are generally related to the influences of family, society, education, finances, culture or politics and how some or all of them shape everyday lives of individuals.

The presentations center around how to live CONSCIOUSLY & PURPOSEFULLY. The content may be modified to suite the needs of the audience.
